The Destroyer

Most of my training miles are  run solo, but on Saturdays I run with the LMJS training group. We congregate at a different place each week and run, on asphalt or dirt trails.  I will have to carry a little camera on these runs now, so I can show them to you. Some of the scenery is well worth it.

Today we congregated in Moraga to run the Lafayette/Moraga trail. It was frosty this  morning, by California standards anyway. So  just a small hard core group showed up. We gravitate into sub-groups according to speed and distance.

Since Joe and I started doing our long runs for last year’s S.F. Marathon on Saturdays,  a group of about five marathoners has coalesced around us.  Typically we’ll have three or four people on a particular day. This group has a high casualty rate. I’m the only one that has not had to pause for a while due to injury. So of course it’s my fault. “Be careful if you run with Jim, or he’ll destroy you!” Perhaps it’s a little unfair, but I revel in it anyway. Bwahahaha!
